Leicester City Win Second Championship Title

8th Second Tier Title for Foxes

4 May 2024, Leicester City Football Club have won their second EFL Championship title, securing their eighth second-tier title overall. The Foxes clinched the title with a 2-0 victory over Sheffield Wednesday in their final match of the season.

Historic Achievement

Leicester City's triumph marks a historic achievement for the club. It is the first time they have won the Championship twice, and their eighth second-tier title in total. The club's previous Championship victory came in 2013-14.

The Foxes' success this season has been built on a strong defense and clinical finishing. They have conceded the fewest goals in the Championship this season, while their goalscoring prowess has been led by James Maddison, who has scored 15 goals.

Leicester City's manager, Brendan Rodgers, has praised his team for their hard work and dedication throughout the season.

"I'm so proud of the players," said Rodgers. "They have worked so hard all season and they deserve this success. We have shown great resilience and character to come through a tough season and win the title.
